It’s been an amazing two weeks for Catherine Dolan. Just a week ago Dolan captured her 2nd Missouri Women’s Amateur Championship at Old Kinderhook Golf Club. Yesterday, she won the Metropolitan Women’s Amateur at historic St. Louis Country Club, site of the 2014 Curtis Cup Matches.
Dolan finished the 36 hole championship +2 after posting Even par in the first round and carrying a 1 shot lead over Ellen Port into the final 18 holes. Kelli Kirchoff started the final round 4 shots off the pace.
Dolan posted the low round of the day once again on Wednesday with a second 73. For the second consecutive tournament, Port finished runner-up after a second round 74.
