Ted Moloney posted the low score on Monday at Forest Hills Country Club to earn a return visit to the United States Mid Amateur Championship in Birmingham, AL. Moloney was one of four players to qualify for the upcoming USGA National Championship.
Skip Berkmeyer, Patrick Britt and Phil Caravia will join Moloney at The Country Club of Birmingham, October 5-10. Berkmeyer finished two shots off the 1-under pace set by Moloney. Britt and Caravia both finished at 2-over, 72.
Moloney competed in the US Mid Amateur in 2008 and 2009, qualifying for match play in 2008 before losing 6&5 to Jim Dunlap in the round of 64. He also qualified for the US Amateur last year.
