Two days before Rory McIlroy lost his status as the top ranked golfer in the world to Tiger Woods, he was getting in some quality practice time at a Miami muni.
Rory was in Miami to watch girlfriend Caroline Wozniaki compete in the Sony Open tennis tournament.
Notice the picture as provided by Golf.com in Coleman McDowell’s article of the man hitting golf balls next to Rory. Can you imagine being at your local muni driving range and up walks the best player in the world? I mean holy cow. What would you do? Do you say something like, “Hey Rory, how’s it going”? I mean what in the heck do you say, if anything?
