Top players Missouri competing for spot on Hieronymus Cup Teams

The Missouri Golf Association 2013 season is quickly approaching and the top amateur golfers in the state will be competing for a spot on their respective Hieronymus Cup team.

The Hieronymus Cup Matches feature the top 20 players from the West side of the state against the top 20 players from the East side of the state.

Cup Match Captains for 2013

East: Bobby Godwin, Poplar Bluff and Senior Captain is Bob Trittler, Wentzville

West: Antonio Serrano, Springfield and Senior Captain is BJ Curry, Sedalia

About Hieronymus Cup Matches

The Cup Matches were established back in 1994 when it was hosted by Loch LLoyd Country Club. A Tom Watson Signature Design. The cup matches showcase the best of the best around the state. However, college players are not eligible to play in the Cup Matches.

Players compete and receive points based on how they finish in each event.

Not only does a player receive points in MGA Championships, a player can earn points in the Phil Cotton, Dawson-Boyce Invitational, Ozark Invitational and the Payne Stewart Invitational. Also, included in the Points table are choice USGA events.
